How PlanProof checks every claim
PlanProof is an independent, privately produced evidence assembly kit for NDIS plan reviews. This page explains which sources it relies on, how the content is checked and dated, and what it does not do.
What PlanProof is
PlanProof organises the evidence for an NDIS plan review into eight exhibits (EX-01 to EX-08), provides request-letter templates for each, and sequences collection by lead time so the slowest documents are requested first. The free coverage check on the PlanProof NDIS plan review evidence kit page lets you mark which exhibits you have and lists your gaps. The paid kit (A$99 one-off, AUD, GST incl.) is not on sale yet.
Primary sources
Every statement about plan reviews and the NDIA is checked against published primary material:
- The NDIA's website, ndis.gov.au, including its plan-reassessment guidance, participant booklets and review checklists.
- The National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cth) and the NDIS Rules made under it, as published on the Federal Register of Legislation (legislation.gov.au).
Naming a source is not an endorsement by it. Where PlanProof gives its own working method, such as the eight-exhibit structure or the lead-time estimates, it says so; those are PlanProof's planning guidance, not NDIA rules or deadlines.
How the content is checked
- Read the published material. The NDIA guidance and the NDIS Act and Rules are read in full, and what the review weighs is noted exhibit by exhibit.
- Map every kit section to it. Each exhibit, request letter and timeline step exists because the published material shows the review weighs that kind of evidence.
- Check it, then date the check. The mapping is re-checked against the published sources and the check date is printed on the page.
Last verified: 5 October 2026.
Dated-source policy
- Every check carries a date. If a source changes after that date, the source wins: check ndis.gov.au before you rely on anything here.
- Lead times are planning estimates. Your providers' queues may be shorter or longer.
- Reported errors are corrected publicly in the pack, with the correction logged and dated. Report an error through the contact page.
What PlanProof does not do
- It is not legal, medical, financial or advocacy advice. It is general information about assembling evidence.
- It is not affiliated with the NDIA, the NDIS or any government body.
- It cannot predict or promise a review outcome. No product honestly can.
- It does not argue your case, speak to the NDIA for you or submit your review.
- It does not replace a functional capacity assessment, a clinician or a disability advocate. For complex situations, a free disability advocacy organisation is the better first call.
